Valtellina, in the heart of the Alps, offers cyclists three of the world’s most famous bike routes—Stelvio, Gavia, and Mortirolo—“the three legendary climbs.”
Valtellina is one of the most renowned Alpine areas in Europe for mountain biking, with routes suitable for all tastes and skill levels. The “Five Crazy Downs” are spectacular MTB descents that drop from the high peaks of Valtellina and Valposchiavo (Switzerland) down to the valley floor along dirt roads, mule tracks, military roads, and specially marked trails for bikers.
A 94 km cycle path winding along the valley floor of Sondrio Province, from Bormio to Lake Como.
Valtellina’s terraced vineyards and dry-stone walls create a harmonious landscape on steep slopes, reflecting a centuries-old bond between man and mountain. Ideal for walking or cycling tours, as well as culinary excursions.
Different and unique scenarios, natural parks, alpine lakes... choose your itinerary, put on your boots, and go!
A route of over 160 km divided into eight stages, touching many Marian shrines in Sondrio Province, including the Madonna di Tirano Sanctuary—one of the most important religious monuments in Valtellina—and the Grosotto Sanctuary.
A Marian shrine of great artistic value—note the painting “The Holy Family” by Marcello Venusti, a pupil of Michelangelo.
The Grosotto lake, nestled among the slopes of Valtellina, offers an oasis of peace amid clear waters, lush forests, and majestic peaks.
Valtellina is a true haven for anglers with its 1450 km of
